focal point

-annie leibovits

Definition: Focal point is where the object or person is the main point of interest so when someone looks at the photo this is what they are drawn to first. The focal point of a camera lens is the distance where subjects in front of the lens appear to be in sharp focus.

Factual: This photo was taken by anne leibovits.

Context: This photo was taken of a woman. Annie photographed her as a princess and to make her stand out.

Technique: In this photo i think that it also has a back drop because of how she stands out, she has been placed where she is easily noticed and so you will look at her straight away.

Aesthetics: I really like this photo because shes bright and elegant. the background is just lights with a kind of yellow goldish tint from the lights.

This website is very useful because it tells you what focal point is and how you can change it.
